About Me
It's important to understand what people say; it's imperative to understand what people mean.

Hi, I'm Alex. You can also call me Nemo.
I was born and raised in Orlando, FL USA. Maybe one day I'll leave, but this has been my home my whole life.
From a young age I've always been deeply curious about science and technology. I spent a lot of time as a kid playing games and I'm not even ashamed to admit that I used to hack in games, as it's what led me to learning to code. I would host private game servers so I could play with my friends, create custom quests and skills, and build mods for various steam games. I spent a lot of time learning to program on YouTube, and one day I tried my hand at making videos to teach others how to program in Java. It was an incredible experience where I not only was able to share my knowledge with others, but it also tested my own understanding and made me more meticulous in the code I produced as it would be permanent in a video.
In high school, I started getting deeply interested in Physics and as I moved into a college I considered taking my degree towards computaional physics and quantum computing. Ultimately, I decided that my home was in Computer Science and it gave me the most career opportunities, of which I am deeply grateful for.
Today, I work as an Architect for a Healthcare Technology company where I get the opportunity to flex my creativity and design logical and scalable solutions to difficult, real-world problems. My interest in science hasn't waned and I've channeled it into a new astrophotgraphy hobby. You can see some of my work on this blog.
